Benzonitrile
Benzonitrile, chemical formula C7H5N, is a colorless oily liquid, almond odor, slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in hot water, soluble in ethanol, ether. It is mainly used as an intermediate for advanced coatings such as benzo-substituted melamine, as well as an intermediate for the synthesis of pesticides, aliphatic amines, and as a solvent for nitrile-based rubber,resins, polymers, and coatings.
